MEGA’s May 2025 issue is all about Mothering as a State of Being, starting with Nadine Lustre on the cover. Though far from a mother in the traditional sense, she deftly steps into the title bestowed upon her the people and took on mothering as part of her lifestyle and advocacy. This exploration of mothering continues with the rest of the stories inside the issue, from Designer Dialogue with Ria Bolivar and Lulu Tan-Gan, to the Designer Spotlight Asia feature on Vietnamese designer Mai Lam, the Beauty Blog story on Malaysian Canadian Mei Pang, and a a beauty editorial of hairstyles made famous by women icons through the years.

The Design Sourcebook - Bluprint Homes
In this maiden issue of BluPrint Homes, we explore the concept of conscious living—an intentional and mindful approach to how spaces are created, used, and experienced. It emphasizes awareness, responsibility, and purpose in every aspect of design—often grounded in ethics, sustainability, and well-being.
BluPrint Homes highlights this concept in its two cover stories. First is a collaboration with Ethan Allen, where the BluPrint team worked with three of Manila’s top designers to create vignettes that reflect premium craftsmanship, expert curation, and timelessness. The second cover story spotlights a couple’s beach home in Batangas, where every corner is filled with cherished pieces, and the homeowners’ commitment to quality and sustainability is evident in the choice of materials and finishes.
Other features include an architect’s retirement home, which is also a tribute to his late wife, and a creative director’s maximalist condo unit. Let the variety of styles in this issue inspire you to discover your own and create a home that is truly you.
BillboardPH - Vol XI - Alamat and G22
From what was once dismissed as an imitation of other Asian pop genres, P-pop has evolved from a sound and an aesthetic to a full-blown movement. In the last few years, we’ve seen P-pop’s leading groups dominate the Billboard Philippines charts, sell out major concerts, earn recognition abroad, and embark on world tours. Indeed, P-pop has become a force to be reckoned with, representing and elevating OPM itself on the global stage.
To sustain a movement needs new recruits, so to speak, and so the June 2025 issue of Billboard Philippines presents the next generation of promising P-pop acts, led by the multicultural men of ALAMAT and the alpha femmes of G22.
With members hailing from different corners of the country, the six-piece ALAMAT has become renowned for integrating different Philippine languages and representing various cultures in their songs, earning their place on one of the covers of this special issue. Their journey to the top has only just begun, however, and we look forward to seeing how far this talented group and their music can go.
On the alternate cover is the trio of ladies fondly dubbed by their fans as the “female alphas of P-pop,” G22. No description is more apt, as the group has weathered lineup changes and other challenges to get to where they are now, fueled by pure determination and hard work. Their hit “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” truly encapsulates who they are, and they’re on the verge of taking over the spotlight.
Elsewhere on the issue are the many faces of the new wave of Philippine pop, including an exclusive interview with the Filipino members of rising K-pop group UNIS, Gehlee and Elisia. Leading record labels Viva Artists Agency and Star Pop tell us why their new groups GAT and 1621 have the potential to break through, and get to know YARA, the new girl group fusing P-pop and hip-hop.
Discover AJAA, the young four-piece ready to navigate the P-pop scene, and look back at how MNL48 introduced idol culture to the Philippines, helping create P-pop fandom as we know it today. Of course, no issue dedicated to P-pop would be complete without both SB19 and BINI, and our Market section discusses why both groups’ selling out their Philippine Arena shows and embarking on their respective world tours has made OPM more profitable than ever.
With P-pop’s sound and influence continuing to expand on an international level, and with a new generation of artists providing their own take on the genre to guarantee its evolution, P-pop is indeed here to stay, and will only get bigger from here. This volume is a document of where it stands now; pick it up so you won’t get left behind.

VMAN Southeast Asia - Vol 3 - Shaun Pelayo
In the Brains & Brawn issue of VMAN Southeast Asia, we explore a new masculine ideal taking shape across the region, one that refuses to choose between intellect and physicality.
At the forefront of this evolution is Filipino-British model, athlete, and actor Shaun Pelayo, who fuses body and identity through ink and motion. His tattoos chronicle his life, heritage, and grit, each mark a declaration of resilience forged in both the gym and the cultural margins.
Malaysian actor Meerqeen, whose journey from rugby fields to red carpets also reveals a relentless pursuit of both mental and physical excellence. Once poised for a career in insurance law, he pivoted toward acting with the same tenacity that once fueled his sports training, now applying discipline to the study of scripts and the craft of performance.
Meanwhile, Filipino-American Olympic fencer Mitchell Saron, embodies this dual ideal; his sport is one of lightning-fast reflexes, but it’s the meticulous journaling, meditation, and visualization that give him a strategic edge. In a world where speed and strength are table stakes, it’s his mind that wins matches.
For all three men, the narrative is the same: the modern Southeast Asian man is not simply strong or smart, he is both, by design and by necessity.

BillboardPH - Vol X - TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan
In the global music landscape, collaborations between artists are always exciting. These tracks worked on by two (or more) music acts are always highly anticipated by fans of both artists, while a collab between two artists from totally different genres or cultures have the potential to unite the fanbases of both.
Back then, collaborations between seemingly disparate artists like the Eraserheads and Francis M (as on the classic “Superproxy”) were seen as revolutionary, but nowadays, the accessibility of recording and digital file sharing have made the process easier and more commonplace, but no less innovative. In any case, listeners love it when artists join forces, so much so that 2024’s biggest song in the Philippines was “Palagi,” a sincere and inspired love song written by proven hitmaker TJ Monterde and beautifully rendered as a duet with his wife, none other than Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan.
Monterde and Tandingan are the cover artists for the February 2025 volume of Billboard Philippines, and throughout the issue we explore collaboration in different forms and faces. Skyrocketing Fil-Am hip-hop star Ez Mil talks about working with his hero Eminem. We also infiltrate the Pinoy metal supergroup Juggernaut, composed of veteran musicians from bands like Kamikazee, Skychurch, and more. Meanwhile, we catch up with female rock icons Barbie Almalbis, Lougee Basabas, Acel Bisa, Aia De Leon, Kitchie Nadal, and Hannah Romawac ahead of their TANAW repeat concert, and discuss notable collaborations between Filipino and foreign artists, like BINI and Agnez Mo’s recent “Cherry On Top” remix.
On our Discover section, we feature rising R&B stars Jason Dhakal and DENȲ, and how they came up with “Favorite Song,” while Cebuano rappers Karencitta and Midnasty’s Nik Kho talk about their track “Dali Na Ba” on our Rediscover section. Elsewhere on the issue you’ll get to read about frequent collaborators Zild and Tim Marquez, rock musicians-turned-DJs The Diegos, the chartbreaking “sining” by Dionela and Jay R, and more.
As the old poem goes, no man is an island, and the same goes for the artists in the Philippine music scene who want to step out of their comfort zones, get new ideas and input from fellow artists, add new flavor to their music, or all of the above. As such, collaborations are here to stay, and we want to hear more of them.
